Kids say the funniest things....

Ready for this one?!
Bill has been having a time of it with infections- 2 abcess teeth and now a sinus infection. This morning, his nose started draining, and he started gagging because of the smell (which also leaves a taste in his mouth), and it was GREEN. Naturally, he went to the dr's. Nathan went in to visit with Bill later and was telling Bill that Emily had a stinky diaper, and needed to be changed, did he smell it? It was Bill's nose! Bill tried to explain that it just smelled like a stinky diaper was up his nose. Nathan didn't quite catch it, we thought, and as the day went on, we all made comments about the smell, etc. It honestly does smell just like some of her stinky diapers. Odd.
This evening, as we were finishing dinner, Nathan looks at Bill and says, "I don't get the thing about the diaper in your nose, Daddy!" We all laughed so hard!! It was good medicine.
For inquiring minds, Bill is on antibiotics, and we cannot wait til they clear up his acute sinusitis. Yes, we can smell it too- gum helps him deal with it and makes it more bearable for the rest of us.
