Great Start to a New Year

Went to UVa yesterday Monday, and things did not go as expected (so what's new?!!). We went so that they could inject dye from both the kidney and the bladder thru the ureter, and see where the damage was exactly and what shape the tissue was in, and from the results, the reconstructive surgery was going to be scheduled. Debi was put to sleep in 3 breaths of gas and woke up to the resident telling her that everything was normal- the nephrostomy tube is even out! On Thursday, we had the tubing on the nephrostomy stent replaced, and they were able to get a trickle of dye thru to the bladder, so the dr here tried and got a very small tube thru from the kidney to the bladder. So things had been healing. But in these last 4 days, things have completely healed- all the way back to normal! We are all grateful and excited. God is good.
