Small Appliances, Big Blessings

From Debi:
Mixers. Haven't had to think much about them until lately. We had one from Bill's grandmother (1973 model!!) that gave up after we got here to Va. We replaced it with a mixer from Wal-Mart, only to have it die after about 6 months. Obviously, we need a more powerful and larger mixer- mashed potato for this family taxes both the strength and size of pans and mixers!! So, we had ordered (squirreled Christmas $) a Kitchen Aid Pro6 from eBay- it was refurbished, still with a warranty, powerful enough to handle our family's needs- including whole wheat dough. Wanting to be wise stewards, we researched and wrestled about how much we really needed/wanted to spend, etc. (i.e., do we use money we really don't have along with what we did, rationalization issues!!) Bill had asked if we could please not spend that extra money, so we settled on the Pro6, saving money, but still getting a pretty large, powerful machine. It arrived today, and I unpacked it, got it to the counter, plugged it in as I am trying to decide what to make first with it, and it just didn't sound right. Called Kitchen Aid, they listened, got my info, looked up replacement machines, and wouldn't you know, they have discontinued the Pro6, so they will be replacing it with their Pro600- the more powerful one we had wanted all along! Plus now I got the color I wanted (eBay didn’t have the color we really wanted) Isn't God good?!! He got it for us with the money we had, honoring both my request for a large, very powerful machine, and Bill's desire to be wise with our money! to God be the glory, Debi
