Camping

So we did it- we went camping, all 8 of us. Decided, got supplies, found a place and headed out to make memories. Just as we were leaving, Aimee(6) sprained her ankle, Emily(9mos) celebrated by breaking 2 new teeth, and Nathan(3) cut his palm open shortly after parking in the site trying to run around and help. But God is good. He helped me get a good first aid kit together that covered our bases, and we still had a grand time learning that we are beginners!! What a great way to learn about teamwork and cause/effect (leave food out, keep bugs/ clean up, no bugs - sunscreen/no sunscreen!!).

God's blessings: the 12-person tent was a $96 tent we just 'happened' to have ring up at $59 after thinking we had missed being able to buy one. I had prayed for a site near the bathroom (recently potty-trained 3yo) - we got the closest one (and best laid out for our tent). Our air mattress stayed inflated (ok, so I'm a wimp!!). No neighbors in sight- we truly got a break away.
